Whole wheat flour 2 to 3 cups
Salt 1tsp
Luke warm Water as needed
Oil 1 tblsp
Oil for deep frying


1)Take the flour in a bowl add salt and oil mix well.Add water and knead to form a stiff dough.And let it rest for 15 mins.

2)Make small balls and roll them into pooris.

3)Heat oil in a kadai.(To test if the oil is in correct heated add a small piece of dough to the oil,if it raises to the top immediately you can start making pooris)

4)Add the poori to the oil and press gently so they puff up.And turn them and fry the other side.

5)Serve hot with potato palya.
