MANGALORE BUNS




INGREDIENTS:

1 cup riped mashed bananas

Sugar 2 tblsp
Yogurt 2 tblsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
wheat flour 2cups (Usually all purpose flour is used)
cumin seeds 1/2tsp
Pepper powder 1/4tsp (optional)
Salt 1 tsp
Oil to deep fry



METHOD:

1)In a bowl add mashed bananas,sugar,salt,baking soda,yogurt,cumin seeds and pepper powder(if using) and mix together.

2)Add wheat flour and mix together to form a stiff dough.

3)Cover and leave it for 3 hours.

4)Heat oil(use canola oil or olive oil).

5)Make small balls from the dough and roll into puris(bit thick) and deep fry till golden brown on both sides.

6)Remove and place over a paper towel.Serve with chutney and enjoy...
