INGREDIENTS:
Rice 1cup
Moong Dal 1/2 cup
Ginger 1"
Jeera 1tsp
Urad dal 1tsp
Pepper 1tsp
Hing a pinch
Turmeric 1/2tsp
Cashew 4
Ghee 1Tblsp
Salt
METHOD:
1)Wash rice and moong dal.
2)Put 1/2 tblsp ghee in a cooker,add ginger,turmeric,hing and salt.
3)Then add rice,moong dal and mix,add 4-5 cups of water and pressure cook it for 5 whistles.
4)Take a pan add ghee when it is hot add jeera,urad dal,pepper,cashews,curry leaves and fry for 2 mins.
5)Add the seasoning to the cooked pongal and mix well.
6)Serve hot with chutney and huli gojju.
