INGREDIENTS:
2 cups balekayi(Plantain) cut into cubes
1 small onion chopped
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
To GRIND:
Jeera 1 tblsp
3 green chillies
3 garlic cloves
1 small onion
1/2 cup grated coconut
Coriander leaves 4 strands
SEASONING:
1 tsp mustard
Curry leaves
Oil 1 tblsp
METHOD:
1)Heat oil in a pan when it is hot add mustard,curry leaves,when it splutters add onion.
2)When onion turns light brown add the peeled and cubed plaintain,turmeric and 1/2 cup water.
3)In a blender grind the ingredients to smooth paste with little water.
4)When the plaintain is cooked add the ground paste and salt.Cook for 5mins on low flame.
5)Serve hot with chapathis.
